Invest in your community...

Our children, grandchildren,
and
all the children of our comunity
benefit from a community rich in the arts.
Exposure to the arts expands their minds and broadens
their opportunities.

Trillium Arts Centre offers camps and classes
that teach the visual arts, music, writing and theater,
all in a fun environment that children enjoy.
We also offer scholarships for children
who would not be able to access
the programs otherwise.

"When we enrolled our 7 year old
Christina in this summer's Trillium
Arts Camp, we were pleasantly surprised
at the variety
of creative experiences that were offered.
The instructors brought so
much talent and inspiration to the project.
This
helped Christina to discover interests and
abilities she didn't
know she had.  Trillium is a top quality gift to
this community."

"My granddaughter, Kendall,
thoroughly enjoyed at the Art Camp
sponsored by Trillium Arts!

Kendall was not only taught about the
bounties of nature and respect for its gifts, but also how
nature’s forms and colors can inspire creativity...
. As a natural dyer and spinner, it was wonderful to see her
learn about spinning, weaving and dying.
She even taught me some things she learned
about lichen dyes.
And then there were the animals.  The children’s contact
with the bunnies in the art studio and the alpacas
at the farm will be experiences they will never forget
The afternoon program of theatre was also a
wonderful experience.  Beth and I were amazed
at how professional the play was and how well the
children did.  They weren’t nervous and had a good time,
a nice surprise given the size of the high school stage in a
large auditorium.

Camps like yours keep valuable skills
and arts alive,
which in our fast-paced high-tech environment
are in danger of being lost.
I believe that by instilling in children these basic
experiences, we can encourage them
to continue to search out and appreciate
the work of the hands, heart and mind
,
as opposed to only manufactured goods.
Thank you so much for presenting such a
well-thought out program."

Trillium Arts Centre also
provides community events specifically for
children, such as this year's
"Art Day in Poinsett Park".
Children enjoyed a full day of free art projects,
puppets and fun sponsored
by Trillium Arts and community business partners.
