Starting Feb 1st: "The Hand, the Eye, the Tool" Instuctor: Georgia Harrison A class for beginning and intermediate artists Mondays, 7pm, starting Feb 1st for 5 weeks Week 1: "Looking and making" line, shape, form, value, color Week 2: Composition and thumbnail sketches; Finding and creating the base drawing Week 3: Working with a range of light and dark values pencil, charcoal, chalks, graphite Week 4: Monochromatic color study Week 5: Completion, evaluation and discussion Cost: $110 for 5 weeks Materials List: rough newsprint sketch pad or 2-3 sheets heavy Strathmore paper #2 drawing pencil charcoal pencil charcoal stick white block eraser box of chalks/pastels, 8 to 10 values of black to white Cray pas (oil pastels), package of 12 to 25 If you have troulbe finding any of these items, or if you are unsure of what to buy, bring all of the supplies you can find to the first class and then talk with the instructor about the additional items.
